Psychological Safety - Leadership (8 Hrs)
-
The term “psychological safety” was first coined by Harvard professor, Amy Edmondson. She defined psychological safety as: “a belief that one will not be punished or humiliated for speaking up with ideas, questions, concerns or mistakes, and that the team is safe for interpersonal risk-taking.”
Google completed a two-year study called “Project Aristotle” to identify what makes a high-performing team. They determined that the number one correlating factor to a high-performing team is psychological safety.
Benefits of Psychological Safety Include:
• Increased Problem-Solving
• Increased Productivity
• Increased Engagement
• Increased Innovation
• Improved Well-Being
